Philly Lutaaya Day

The national celebrations were held in Nakasongola District in November 2010.

The guest of honor, Rev Father Gerrard began by thanking all people for coming and in a special way appreciated those who have come up openly disclosing their status. He thanked UAC and NAFOPHANU for making the Guest of Honor at this wonderful event.

In his speech, he said as a church, they are much involved in advocacy especially to children that they should abstain from sex.

He asked all people to stay pure and holy and that all HIV and AIDS organizations should as well include religious issues in their HIV responses.

He further called upon people to stop discrimination and stigma as well as blaming HIV positive people. He urged to all people to use the talking tool to sensitize and educate every one and provide them with accurate and concise information about HIV and AIDS.
